Filleted Male Salmon, 30 x 40", © 2010, Marion Kryczka.
For thirty years, Marion Kryczka has taught young artists at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago the principles of perceptual painting and drawing. Often associated with his representations of the human figure, Kryczka has, in recent years, turned his discerning eye toward the still life and landscape.
Like a stage production, his formal paintings find the harmony and poetic order of the subjects in the composition and manipulation of these domestic scenes and cityscapes.
